Static and Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Scales
Reliable stationary baggage weighing for airports without motorised conveyors
Atrax Static and Out-of-Gauge (OOG) Scales are designed for airports where motorised check-in conveyors are not used. These scales provide accurate, stationary baggage weighing and connect directly to standard Atrax ABS960+ scale electronics, with dual displays for both operator and passenger.
Each scale features a heavy-duty stainless-steel cover pan fitted to the top of the platform, providing a durable and visually appealing weighing surface.
All Atrax static scales use our OIML and NTEP approved high-precision load cells to guarantee accuracy, repeatability and reliability.
The standard scale height is 125mm (+- 10mm by means of adjustable feet which allow easy levelling and height adjustment on site).
Product Details
Sizes and Load Cell Options
Common platform sizes are 600 x 600mm or 600 x 800mm. Custom sizes can be made on request.
- Up to the 600 x 800mm size: the static scales can be provided with a single load cell, subject to local regulations (not allowed in some countries).
- From 800 x 800mm upwards: four load cell versions are used.
The scales can also be installed into single or double bag wells.
Popular OOG Models
Very popular and frequently used Out-of-Gauge (OOG) static scale configurations include:
- OOG-1000-1000-125 (1,000 x 1,000 x 125mm)
- OOG-800-1200-125 (800 x 1,200 x 125mm)
- OOG-1000-1200-125 (1,000 x 1,200 x 125mm)
For applications requiring extra height, we supply stainless-steel-clad plinths to achieve overall heights of 250mm or 300mm.
Display Options
The OOG versions can be supplied with:
- Dual displays (operator and passenger), or
- Single display only, depending on requirements.
Scale Ratings and Intervals
Common scale ratings and scale intervals are:
- 150 x 0.1kg (most common rating of these scales), or
- 300 x 0.1kg.
The scale can also be operated to 600kg with 0.2kg intervals (although this would require more expensive calibration with 600kg test weights).
These robust static scale products have provided many years of reliable service at airports around the world.
